Each week our scan collects weak – and less weak – signals… Each section focuses on signals related to a specific theme: world (international politics and geopolitics); economy; science; analysis, strategy and futures; technology and weapons; energy and environment. However, in a complex world, categories are merely a convenient way to present information, when facts and events interact across boundaries.

The Weekly is the scan of The Red (Team) Analysis Society and it focuses on national and international security issues. It was started as an experiment with Paper.li as a way to collect ideas, notably through Twitter. Its success and usefulness led to its continuation.

The information collected (crowdsourced) does not mean endorsement but points to new, emerging, escalating or stabilizing problems and issues.

Si vous souhaitez consulter le scan après la fin de la semaine, utilisez les "archives" directement sur The Weekly.

  1. Thank you very much for the article on Philipine’s relation with the United States. In fact the U.S. Is gradually losing interest in the Middle east and instead moving towards South China Sea and South East Asia.As oil is losing its gliter and U.S. dependence on imported oil declining,Washington and Beijing change or swap the sphere of their political focus between the Middle East and South China Sea.However, while China is playing its role swiftly and business-wise,the U.S. turning nervous and doing its best to get into South East Asia fast. The way Philipine President treated the Americans was unusual.Perhaps other countries in the region also look back and see the wounds that was inflicted on them back in 1950’s and turn hostile. We don’t know what impact the passing away of the U.S. born king of Thailand will have on Bangkok relationship with Washington but itts unlikely that the two countries relationship turn for the better.
Dear Dr.Lavoix, now that I still have the floor,as we used to say in OPEC Conferences,I wish to express my thanks and gratitudes to you for excellent discourses that are presented by the team.
